random question about baby Ibuprofen

So i gave Malakai some ibuprofen the other day, and i lilcked the syringe after, before washing, a few seconds later my tongue felt funny, it was like id drank ginger beer or something, hard to explain but it was quite, tingly, like been nettled but also painful in a non painful way...
very hard to explain and no one else that ive asked has ever noticed it, its a really annoying... like i say unpainful pain... i know that doesnt make sense but its the only way to explain..

if you know what i mean, can you explain better? if you've never tasted baby ibuprofen i bet your going to now lol and if you have but dont know what i mean, then i promise im not weird

I have no idea, but I have always tried to wash it down with milk or something to eat right after as he doesn't like the taste. I can't wait until he is 2 and weighs 24 lbs so I can give him children's not infants!

Hmm, I've actually never tasted baby medicine. I always give a syringe of water (over 6 months of course) afterwards though.

I know exactly what you mean. When I was pregnant I had an awful headache that lasted days and days and despite taking paracetamol every 4 hours for days it just wouldn't budge. I finally lost it at about 3 in the morning on something like day 4 of this headache and decided to take some ibuprofen. Except when I looked in the medicine cabinet there was no ibuprofen. Only DD's calprofen. I checked the label and it said for 10 years + take 4 spoonfuls. I think I managed 2 spoonfuls before nearly puking. It was THE MOST DISGUSTUNG THING I EVER TASTED. I can't even begin to describe how gross it was. It's no wonder I always struggle to get DD to take it. And you're right, it does leave a weird numb feeling on your tongue after.

If you chew an ibuprofen tablet it numbs your mouth (I know this because I was dared to do it as a teenager lol) so I guess it's a similar thing when you take it in liquid form?

This is so weird, just today Micah told me it was 'too spicy', I told him it wasn't spicy and he replied 'it's... vinegary' I thought he was just making random excuses not to take it, I'm going to have to try it now!

Malakai likes the taste he never moans about it, i think its supposed to be orange flavour, its me that cant stop tasting it every time to make sure its still doing it.

I know what you mean it makes me throat water like I'm going to be sick and I can't stop coughing when I taste it. It's a weird feeling x
