rant about asda's shopping delivery !

Sorry about this rant ladies, i'm just so frustrated at asda's home delivery !

Today i was expecting my weekly food shopping to be delivered as im going into hospital on monday to be induced and my OH need food for the week.

We dont have much money as it is and ive now found out after waiting 3 hours after my shopping was due to be delivered that i will not be getting it.

I had to phone up asda (costs a fortune to ring) only to be told that my shopping has been delivered and charged!!!!

So someone has accepted my shopping and asda have charged me ! and since the afternoon delivery man has gone home they cant do anything untill tomorow where i should expect a phone call from the shopping manager to find out whats happened!!

On an off chance has this happened to anyone else who uses asda home delivery?

Im so angry as now i have no money to buy shopping and no food!

wow! they arnt meant to do that they have gone to the wrong house and someone had to sign for it. I go with sainsburys and tesco for years as asda dont deliver but they all the same rules I would assume! I feel for you and I bet your cupboards are empty like mine just before shopping arrives and asda has all the money you have. Defo complain and get something more than an apology off them.

We've always had good experiences with Asda here, but definitley complain, that's awful!

This happened to us once. I had been waiting ages so I checked online and saw that it said 'delivered' and the amount had been charged! I was furious too, but luckily the shopping did show up a bit later on that evening. I don't know why it said 'delivered', but hopefully yours will show up very soon, maybe he's just missed your time slot and will call by on his way back from somewhere else.
It would be very unlikely that he had got completely the wrong address and delivered it to someone else and them accept the delivery, what are the chances? Fingers crossed it shows up.
Since then we have used Tesco and we have found them to be much better than Asda. In fact the first time we used them they said that if for whatever reason they couldn't get to us or if we were out then they keep the shopping on the van and will try again later that evening, so hopefully this is the Asda policy too.
If it doesn't show up tonight then play hell with them on the phone and demand your money back and hopefully you will get some vouchers or something as compo too. x

I know i can't believe someone has accepted my shopping just shows you what some people are like. I really hope this does get sorted out I can tell you i dont think ill be shopping with asdas again. Id rather spend abit more money and have food! x

u never know... they will probably reimburse u nd deliver ur shoppin...
make sure u let them know ur circumstances nd i'm sure they will sort somethin out for u... they are a reputable company nd like to be seen as bein parent - friendly so will not jus sweep it it under the carpet... hopefully xx

Also for Tesco you can get £10 off your first shop with them, you can get a code from a discount voucher site. Makes it worthwhile ordering from them and you can try them out.

hey, just thought id tell you, my friend had a delivery from waitrose that wasnt theres, but the delivery guys have to drop it of at the house address they are given they really dont accept no as an answer, the delivery man was telling her she has to accept it as it was her address on the form, i think if they wrote your address wrong on the form they have to give you the shopping you ordered, but if you made an error on the form for delivery, im not to sure hope you get back what you ordered (sorry if this doesnt make sence, im sooo tired haha ) xx

My mum order me lots of baby clothes from asda the other week. They were delivered and signed for. But not by me.

I phoned asda and they said they would look into it. They won't even tell me who signed for it.

Omg! It's bad enough that they delivered it to the wrong place but that someone actually accepted it?!! There are some horrible selfish people in this world! Hope you get it sorted x

Asda pi$$ed me off, they have suspended my account with them because my MIL payed for my shopping when we moved in november,well i accidently put it on her account (y kiow where it says the account? well to pay it was on her credit card instead of mine) i put in MY signature code off my card (cause i never realised) they brought my shopping and charge MIl, SOOOOO we complained because it should of come up as error seeing as the card and code dont match, so they sent mil the money back and shut my account even though they have took the blame its not as if there shopping (delivery) was that good anyway WOw that was a rant I hate asda!
