Rant - feel awful

I've now had this cold for over 2 weeks and I feel bloody awful. Mucus everywhere (sorry if TMI). OH has it now too and everytime he blows his nose, which he can't help, it makes me feel REALLY sick.

Everytime I cough up a load of mucus I feel like I'm going to throw up everything I've eaten for the past few days.

My nose is running like a good'un, I have a headache, my eyes are hurting and I quite honestly am completely FED-UP with this stupid cold. The fact I can't dose myself up to get rid of it is is seriously getting on my nerves now and I can't see the end in sight So miserable

I don't really expect any replies, just need to vent 'cos I'm fed up with feeling ill. I want to be enjoying this stage of my pregnancy and all I'm getting is crap.

I am completely in the same boat as you!! nose running like a gooden, then blocked the next, my OH has a cold too, and it makes me gag when he sneezes, everyone looks when it happens in public!

When I had a cold I drank lots of warm water with a slice of lemon (meant to be honey to but I dont like it lol) I always felt a lul better after. Is best to they and get lots of rest. If the cough carries on I would go see a doc, u could have a chest infection . Really hope u feel better soon x

Thanks both for your replies I've been doing the water with lemon thing too just wish I could take something stronger! haha!

Hi hun hope you are feeling better. I am in the same boat I have had this cold for 2 weeks today and still feel so rough, GPs are saying it is a nasty virus in my area. It has bought my nausea back on but the lethargy and headaches are driving me mad. Even bought me to tears twice last week, although I am starting to feel a bit normal now. Not looking forward to going back to work tonight however and will probably put me back to square one!! I hate taking pills but have relied on paracetomol these past 2 weeks xx
