really blonde opk question

So, i started my opk's Sunday the second line was none existant next day faint line next day bit darker...then yesterday back to no line again?? does this mean i may have miss the LH surge??
Every month so far its just got darker and darker until its much darker than 1st line and then goes completely! Wouldnt believe ive been doing this for 9 months would you!? sorry if it really is a silly question! xxx

You could have missed it or maybe you didn't OV this month? Go have the doctor do some bloods for you to be sure if you want because of your not ov'ing that could be kinda a big deal. Good Luck !

I cant get any help from my doctor without paying private as the NHS in England wont support people in ttc if they already have a child, and I do! This is the first month this has happened, all the other months ive had positive opk's around the same time of the month (usually 14 days b4 af arrives!) my cycles arent regular, theyre between 32 and 38 days so thats why i do OPK's. its all just too confusing for me lol x

eather you had a very sort Lh or you just had a bit of 1 and didnt o yet keep testing see if comes back.

If it has gone much darker than the control line then that's a positive, right? I don't think it matters that it disappears the next day.

I am similarly frustrated with OPKs as I get random positive results throughout my cycle, so it's very hard for me to tell when I actually ovulated.

Next month I am going to buy clear blue digital ovulation tests as rather than giving a line, they give a smiley face. So you don't have to worry about how dark the line is or isn't, it's just either there or it's not (hope that makes sense!). You can buy the 20 pack on e-bay or amazon fairly cheap.

I'm also going to start charting next month as this is meant to be more accurate than OPKs (or so I've heard), so I am hoping that the charting and clear blue digitals combined will give me a better understanding of what's going on.

Thanks ladies. the thing is that i didnt actually get a line darker than the 1st... it was getting closer by the day n then went back to no line... just wondered really if its supposed to get closer and closer in colour to the 1st line as you get towards LH surge or whether it really doesnt matter?? hope im making sense.ov should technically be around today ish! so maybe I missed the darkest line?? or maybe I didnt ov hope im not out this month already!! x

That happened to me last cycle. The lines got darker and darker, but not as dark as the other line. Then the test went completely blank. I know I ovulated because I chart and my cbfm peaked. Some tests don't work very well. I got mine from the internet and they are really small with green ends on them. Were you using them properly? Some of them say you can't drink anything for 4 hours before you use them.

I was told it's normal to occasionally not have an ovulation or to have a poor ovulation. Maybe you just had a poor cycle this time.

yeah mine are little tiny things with green ends too and were mega cheap...after 9 months its starts to get abit expensive so ive started getting cheapies! well i suppose i'll have to wait and see...if i end up pregnant this month then I guess we'll know I ov'd lol x

If you used those things, you more than likely Ov'd! They never ever got dark for me. They do the same thing you said yours do and I know I Ov'd. If you BD every other day and then lots when you see the faint lines, you should have a great chance.

I got some of them cheapy ones and they were rubbish. I knew I was due to ov in the next day or so. I went and got my usual ones from home bargains this afty and got a def positive with them! Like the others have said u probably have ovulated it's prib just the tests!

what's your cm like? are you having fertile cm? If you are, my guess is you haven't ovulated yet and you should keep testing. From your OP you could ovulate between cd 18 and cd 24. What cd are you on?

im on cd 19 with average cycles of about 34/35 days. CM watery today but white. what do you think? have only bd sat and yest and later x
