Really confused??? Please help!!!

I'm 18 weeks and I'm still finding the baby's heartbeat in my pelvis,I didn't think the baby could fit there anymore,I'm probably being silly but how do I know if the baby is growing? I've got quite a bump now but that could be just water couldn't it? I'm just so confused and where is everyone else finding baby's heartbeat???

I find baby's heartbeat all over the place now. Mostly it up around my belly button, but just to the right, but I couldn't find it the other day and like you it was quite low down again. It must just be the position the baby is lying in.

If your bump is growing, then baby is growing and I wouldn't worry about it. xxx

My midwife struggled to find babys heartbeat and it was just coz he was low down. She wasnt concerned so it must be ok xxxx

Baby might be too big to fit all of it's body down in the pelvis, but could still have head and shoulders down there, so you could still find the heartbeat there. You might not be directly over the heart when you are hearing it.

Also maybe baby is just comfy down low- everyone carries differently. Ours always seems to be lying on her belly just on top of my placenta. I guess that's just where she likes it.

hi im 16 weeks and at my check up appt the dr felt for the uterus, she said baba was still low down as my uterus was only slightly about my pubic bone, when she found the heart beat obvioulsy it was in the pelivc region too, she didnt seem worried so i guess its normal

of course your baby is growing even though my boy is already engaged and his head should be in my pelvis, i sometimes find his HB bellow belly button. They move!! )

I've been carrying very low since the beginning of this pregnancy. It just depends on where the egg implants and where everything starts growing in the first place. My baby has been head down and head-butting me in the cervix since 15 weeks. He just likes it! There's nothing wrong with it.
