I had been so nervous about how my first FS appointment would go but it was really positive.
I am so lucky that my GP is so organised and did as much as she could prior to the referral so we had several SA and bloods and swabs etc all ready.
Since I ov ok but Hubbys morphology was slightly low, he recommended IUI. So first I just have to have tubes checked with HSG and in the meantime they took bloods from both of us today to check for HIV, Hepatitus as these will take a while to come back and need to be done prior to referral to treatment clinic.
They also said we had a choice of clinics to go to for the treatment and gave us information on them all. When the FS had gone and the nurse was doing my weight and height she said that though Bourne hall was closest, it does have longer waiting times as its is more famous but that she has been impressed with leicester fertility centre for both results and waiting times, so we will probably choose that. I just have to let her know once I have had the all clear from the HSG and then the referral is sent off.
Another good point is that when she did my weight for my BMI, it was down to 28.8 which I am really pleased with as it was previously over 30!
