I'm only about 6 weeks gone but having some sickness on and off. Yesterday I was panicking because the sickness just disappeared in a split second (but it returned this morning) so I've been worrying if everything is alright there.

Then to make matters worse, I smashed my car into a bollard at work this morning. I was going quite slowly, but didn't see it so the force was a lot and I was thrown forward in the car. Having dealt with all the car issues / insurance / recovery etc I'm just worrying over every little twinge and cramp - in reality I probably don't feel any different to every other day this week but the uncertainty is horrible.

I don't suppose there is anything I can do but wait it out and hope for the best

I'm sure you'll be okay, your probably just shaken up still and over worrying. Try to stay calm and everything ul be fine :) hope for a happy and healthy pregnancy for you xx

Yeah I agree with previous poster. There's a lot of fluid serving as cushioning, plus your own fat / muscle / bones. Baby is probably OK in there!

Ha ha - there's plenty of fat for cushioning here!!!

Thanks ladies, that's made me feel better all ready x

I have so many play fights and get knocked about all the time with constantly acting like a big kid! My mum dropped a swede on my head when I was a newborn and I survived just fine! ;)

this early on you should be fine, your uterus is still sitting behind your pelvic bone. Unless you crushed your pelvic bone I am sure baby is safe.

Don't panic everything will be fine :D I had a HUGE car crash when I was 8 weeks pregnant after my car slipped on diesel and spun leaving the road and hitting many trees. If you had seen my car you wouldn't of expected anyone to be able to walk out of it and I have recently had my 12 week scan and baby is doing great! :D It is amazing how much our bodies can look after and protect our wee beans!

try not to worry. With my son I went over a speed bump all wrong and the whole car shook hard and I was terrified to the point of crying about it that id hurt my baby... told MW who said all would be fine and not to worry...

I got banged really hard in my tummy when I was 7 months pregnant by a stupid women shopping who hit me with her basket, she didn't even realise or apologise... just gave me a dirty look for being in her way. I again cried and went to triage and all was okay... I was told again that our babbas are really protected in there.

Try to relax hun :hugs:

I am pregnant with my 2nd babba and my LO crawls all over me with his feet and arms pushing and pulling on my tummy and I freak but am far more relaxed this time.

Hope this helps hun

xxx

Dont worry hun, LO is tucked behind your pelvic bone so its safe. I was hit when I was 39 weeks pg with dd and my car was totaled! The seatbelt bruised my bump and DD was still fine...however they induced me that day to be safe.

Congrats on your pregnancy lpf! Sure your little bean is absolutely fine in there xx

I fell off a horse at 12 weeks last time, much panic, especially as I had just had my scan so no more scans for 8 weeks. I was told I would literally have had to crush my pelvis to do any harm. Try not to worry x

Congrats on your pregnancy LPF and other mums-to-be! I am sure your li'l one is well protected inside you, really glad that everyone including you came out relatively unharmed in these incidents. God bless you with a healthy n happy 9 months.
