Are they all hideously expensive? Is there much difference between them?

I found them to be expensive and small, in the end we got a cheapo IKEA cot, took one side off and drilled it to the side of our bed (you can find tutorials online). Glad we did get a full size cot as DS2 was 10lb 15oz and would not have lasted very long in a co sleeper.

There's an ikea hack to turn one of their normal cots into a co sleeper cot. Wouldn't work with the bed I've got so I've got the Chicco next2me. I like it because you can zip the sides up and use it as a normal crib, you can tilt it and it flat packs into a carry bag so handy when we went on holiday. It also has good resale value so I felt the price was justified.

Just use Micah's old cot, take a side off, and cable tie it to your bed frame. You can put a towel on the side of the mattress so that both mattresses touch.

Thanks, I don't think a full sized cot will fit next to our bed even if we push one side against the wall :/

See what kind of baby you have first before splashing out on an expensive co-sleeper. My first was a clingy baby and ended up co-sleeping so I geared up 2nd time around with a Chico next to me, slings, swings and all things that would of made my life easier with him. Only my 2nd is content to sleep on his own and self settled from birth! He could of just had a cheap Moses basket and bouncer and he'd of been grand :haha:

I've got the snuzpod and I love it. She thinks she is close but without the risks of cosleeping such worried me. It was £200 with the mattress but worth every penny to me. She'll be in it until she is 6 months and moves to her own room. Might be coincidence but she's slept better than my friends with Moses baskets. I was sceptical when we bought it but I really love it. I like being about to zip the sides now she's starting to roll to.
