Huge congrats Fluffy!
Widger - how did it go today?
Had my appointment yesterday. My doc is really nice - the same one I saw last time and even though there was loads of ladies waiting she spent about 40mins with me and Mum as DH away.
So the low down - all my tests came back clear apart from the karyotyping because the nurses took the blood using the wrong vial on 1st September and the letter has been sitting in my file since then She was very apologetic and gave me the forms to get them done again. She said i don't need aspirin at this point.
The other thing was the scrapings that they took from my lining (polyps and endo tissue) - the camera and photos showed it enlarged and 'fluffy' looking and the lab said I have a chronic infection. I have had swabs recently and in the past and nothing was ever picked up. They didn't say what is was - don't know if they know? Anyway i've got two strong antibiotics to take for two weeks, cost £14.40 - haven't paid for a prescription for ages and was well No drinking coz they make you really sick
so the infection could be what caused my left fallopian tube to twist and block - yes I am a one tuber! However I have two working ovaries and apparently my right tube can carry eggs from my left ovary too! She said the left ovary was probably enlarged coz I'd ovulated/was in lp at the time of the op. If I get pregnant I am to be seen by the EPAU at 6weeks to make sure baby is in the right place as I can be more at risk of ectopic.
I have moderate endo on the top of the uterus around the bladder and on the womb ligaments.
My big fibroid is in the wall and so not impinging on my uterus so they don't see it as a problem at this point.
She wasn't concerned about the spotting Just asked if it was better since the op and I said no the same if not worse!
Doc said with the lining scraped and the tubes flushed and the antibiotocs the next three months is the most likely time when i am going to get pregnant. She will see me in three months or would rather see me at antenatal clases instead
She answered all my Qs but I didn't have to ask many, it was like she read my mind. I didn't ask about clomid or IVF or anything coz i'm back in three months and need to get rid of infection first. I did ask about CD2-4 bloods and I think she was shocked that I hadn't had it so I reminded her that where I live they won't fund anything (i'm using a cheshire hopital but live in staffordshire). So i went back and had cd2 bloods today and will have CD21 bloods. This is great so i know about my egg reserve/quality and whether I am ovulating for defo.
When I went to reception to book my 3 month appointment she said '27th Jan?' and must have seen my Mum's and my face drop, and she said you want Dec really don't you She actually overbooked to fit me in for 16th Dec!
So will have to tell new job i need an afternoon off 16th Dec and then i'm not sure what to do about CD21 test coz I won't know for sure when I OV and so i'll have to take a chance that I will OV on CD14 and go on CD21. I'll just take the morning off and hope i get to work on time - I'm going to be living at least 2hours away but I don't want to interrupt the good care I'm getting.
So I think that is all!
