red spots on babys arm???

Jacob has bright red spots on his arm, theyre above the skin by the looks of it and on both arms. Ive done the glass test and they do disappear when pressed on.
What could it be??? Should I be worried?

My baby is only 4 weeks but I was told it was just baby acne. I'm not sure in your case. I would run it by the doc to be sure

He seems ok, bit whiney but then I think hes tired. Just put him down for a nap. I cant see any anywhere else and theyre on the back and front of both arms. Looks like a reaction to something and he doesnt like me touching them?? I might give the gp a call later if they spread hmmm?

Omar had sth similar few mnths back. There were only few (maybe 4 or 5 on each arm), his dr. told me it's a viral infection & it's harmless & common in babies. they faded on their own. I thought they were insect/mosquito bites at 1st.

They are still there today but they dont seem to be getting any worse. Hes fine in himself too so I think it is either a reaction or viral. Thanks for the replies x

I've been told that when lo's are ill that they can quite often get a rash afterwards because it's viral and it's the last stage of the infection. I'd see if it's there in a couple of days and like someone else said if they're not right then go to the docs. Trust your instincts hun but hoping you lo is ok

Jake had this and they said it was viral. As long as they're feeding okay I don't think it's anything to worry about hun xx

He's definatley feeding okay . They're weird because it doesn't look like a rash.. just random red spots. I'm keeping an eye on it though! x
