Referral

Went to docs to say we have been ttc for a year now, and as i had previously ttc for 2+ years plus with an ex, the doc is now happy to refer me to hosp to look at IUI & IVF! he said no point in re testing me for stuff i've already had done, FSH, Tube clearing etc...

I am really still hoping i can fall naturally though is that bad that im putting off going to the hospital??

Hi there, I am in exactly the same situation, I have just been referred but I am in denial-I would much rather conceive naturally. OH and I have said that if all the tests don't show anything, then we won't go for IVF and just be the best auntie and uncle we can.
I would love to have a baby, but I wouldn't love to have to go through all the tests/injections etc.. Does that make sense?

I am sure that when you feel ready you will make the appointment, just give yourself some time and see what happens. x

Hey, are you just about to start the standard tests then? hubbys sperm, check your ovulating etc? good luck and lets hope you do fall naturally.

I was going to wait until the new year, see if i fall naturally if not then bite the bullet and go for the next step...desperate for a baby so i no if i have to i will

hiya just speaking from experiance i put off going hospital for 2 years 2 then find out there woz nothing wrong quite frusrating but as im cuming up to 4 years ttc ive had enough i want to b a mummy i dream hope & pray every day that i fall naturally & it still hasnt happened,we should b starting ivf in jan or feb, just aiting for seminar date.
so basically wot im saying is go for it!!!! im so scared but i will do anything to b a mummy.

Thanks Jackie hun, yeh i know i have to go for it so will defo tell the doctor to go ahead with the referral!

Have you had to wait long for the appointment? I'll be going NHS stylee so im not sure how long it will be?

what tests have you had so far then?

we been trying for over a year, ive just had my final blood test to test for ovulation, hubbys been checked, dont know the results yet untill my bloods go back to hospital, then they will send me another appointment.
im desperate for a baby, my life is falling into place now, renting our flat out and moving into our house on monday, just need a baby to complete it all x

hiya, well i had a appointment in may & she woz gona refer us then but decided to give us 3 months of clomid wiv an appointment on 5th sept if didnt get preggors which is wot happened also gave me another 2 months of clomid while im waiting so just started my last clomid cycle 2day,i got a call from the clinic on thurs there sending a letter out confirming seminar appointment which i think mayb in nov/dec & can b starting trreatment as soon as jan so really quickly we also get 3 chances as well which is good.

Babyhopes I see your in Bedford, I live in letworth.
My appointment was at the qe2 and I hated the doctor!! She was so rude!

I really hope I have someone else when I go back.
What do you think could be my next process?
Im waiting for a appointment to come through as I've just had my last blood test for ovulation. So will get the results of them and hubby's SA test x

hiya, i went bedford hospital & ms wallace woz quite abrupt,i speak my mind so she soon changed lol once ur hubbys sa is done she will check ur ovaries then make a 2nd appointment for ur tubes to b checked, if all comes bk well wiv both of u then she may tell u 2 keep trying for a while as ur not eligable for ivf until 3 years.
i wish u good luck, b postive,u will b a mummy 1 day.x

I had my ovaries checked for PCOS and said she couldn't see anything.
