So ever since we started weanin at 6 months Parker has loved food...to the point it cant get enough of itm he would eat everything and anything from fish, to broccli. but this past month he become extremly fussy. all he wants is milk...like he gone from 2 bottles to nearly 5.

i dont know if it due to his mmr/teething or the fact we become a bit lax and given him sweet stuff.

any one else had a random regression with food...is there an underlying cause, or is he just at an age where he can make up his mind to what he likes?

No clue- but I see many posts about food so it must be common. My LO used to try anything we'd offer... then right around 16-18mos she started getting more picky and refuses most new foods. She also wanted WAY more milk than usual... and refused juice or other drinks she's typically like. IDK? But she's not drinking AS much milk now- and more watered down juice during the day-- but still pickier with food. And some days, all she will do is snack... even if we wait longer between meals. She's just not as hungry I guess. She sleeps fine... acts fine... puts on weight fine... so we just go with it. I try to sneak healthier veggies and stuff in with her meals- try different types and ways of cooking it to see what she might take. It's tough as when she doesn't want something, nothing will work... but, I keep on trying. LOL. Sometimes you need to offer things several times before they will accept it- other foods it depends on how it's prepared. For instance, I've tried carrots in many diff ways- but so far, she'll ONLY eat them if we just give her a baby carrot (preferably steamed/cold)-- she'll nibble on them- but still, any other way she flat out refuses. LOL.

Hopefully it's just a stage... maybe others will have better advise :)

We're going through this too, and I'm fairly certain it's the age. LO changes her mind about food constantly. Some days it's a chore to get her to eat at all, and other days she eats more than I do. One day last week she refused to eat anything but grapes! I'm still offering healthy foods but I'm trying not to let it bother me if she refuses to eat them. I have a feeling this problem is here to stay.

Jordan has been going through this as well. Loves her milk and would drink it by the gallon if I let her, I swear! She has been very picky about food the past few months. Things she loved and ate before - now she wont touch. I don't remember Megan getting picky quite this early.

I'm going with the flow. Toddlers don't need to eat much. And I don't think molars help their appetite either.

Omar started to get picky with food at that age. He was fine with almost everything when we started weaning at around 14 month he started to spit out food & gag on food he ate and liked before. By the age of 2 his diet became very limited & he was getting more picky. It didn't get better until he had all his teeth at 2.9 yrs. we weaned him off the bottle at almost 2 yrs as he was drinking loads of milk, he went off milk but it didnt improve his eating.

He's still picky but he eats a good variety of veggies in stews. He doesn't eat many things like pasta, cream sauce, eggs, fruits & sweets. But he's much better now.
