Revealing gender.

We weren't going to find out the gender of the baby this time (third baby and we've found out with the other two.. Quite fancied a surprise), but we've found out that our gender scan is on DD's third birthday (14th January). We're going to find out the gender and fill a box with either pink or blue helium balloons along with one "it's a boy/girl" balloon, wrap the box up and get Lily to open it when all the family are here in the evening. I can't wait now!

We did something very similar. Though, my family didn't even know we were going to find out gender early (genetic screening). They thought we would be finding out Jan. 14 at our anatomy scan.

I had bought a little outfit and wrapped it up and stuck it in with my stepson's birthday presents. So, when he opened the "Little Sister" outfit it took everyone a minute to catch on (including him) but they all flipped out!

It was such a special moment and you won't regret it!

We've told family members that we don't want to find out this time. My mum and my sister are so obviously desperate to know what we're having so they'll be over the moon that we've changed our minds! Lol.

I'm hoping it works out how I think it's going to in my head.. I have this image of all the balloons floating up to the ceiling, but I can just imagine them all getting stuck in the box and having to send DH head first into the giant box to release them!

It's a boy!

We told everyone after the scan that we had decided not to find out. My mum was visably disappointed! Lol. The surprise in the evening was very well recieved..
