Reverting back to night wakings

Since about 9 months, my DD has slept from 6:30-5:30 without waking. These last 2 weeks she's reverted to waking once, if not several times, crying and fussing. At first, it was because of a cold, which has since went away, but now she's wanting to be fed. I know she can go all night without food, but since I'm without my DH around, it's just me and I'm exhausted!!! I try to let her work it out on her own, but when it's midnight and you haven't gotten any sleep yet, it's just easier to give her a bottle and go to bed. I feel like I'm messing up all of the good work that we've done with her sleep.

Could this be a growth spurt, or am I being played?

So sorry to hear you're dealing with this doll! I don't think you're "being played" so-to-speak, but it does sound like the feeding has become habit. Unless there's a medical issue at play, a one year old does not nutritionally need to feed overnight. That's not to say you shouldn't continue feeding her if it works for you, but if you want her to STTN again and you'd like to wean this feed that's fine. She was probably waking due to the cold or a developmental leap and then got used to eating. I would try gradually reducing the amount of milk you give her over the next week in hopes that she'll drop it on her own and then go from there.

It could also be that she's teething. Eleanor woke up once a night for a month when her first set of molars came through and the occasional waking has just started happening again - I think this is the result of the next set!

Ooh molars! I've heard they're awfully painful. That could definitely be a possibility. Couldn't hurt to try some ibuprofen before bed.
