Rocking to crawling

Hi, how long did your LO rock on their hands and knees before they crawled properly?

My LO is getting around the room quite effectively dragging herself around and is rocking a lot but just wondering how long I've got before I need to baby proof the rooms a little more!

Mine's 7 months and has just started the rocking, so I'll be curious as to the other responses.

LO got up on his knees, and less than a week later was crawling.

Mine never did the rocking thing, he just went from dragging himself along to crawling.

Maria didn't rock so much but she was up on her knees for about a month before she actually started crawling. They learn it suddenly though so I'd baby proof right away if I were you - I haven't baby proofed and I'm constantly removing her from things she shouldn't play with/dangerous areas

My LO also drags himself around very well, but started rocking a couple of weeks ago. No sign of proper crawling yet xx
