Roman or Jacob?

I've got a roman so obviously I'm biased. The name isn't that unusual, I think it's a good I'm between name although I do get a bit of 'ronan' 'Rowan' Jacob is nice but will get shortened to jake, it's quite common but very timeless. I don't like Ezra not sure where you are but in the uk there's a singer names George Ezra and I can't disassociate. Good luck! Xx

It's whether you don't mind a more common name? Jacob has been in too 10 registered baby names in UK for the past 5 years, so that's something to consider.

I prefer a less common name and would choose roman but if neither are really shouting out loud for you - hit the books and get something else x

thanks ladies.
just thinking i should call him roman jacob or jacob roman
this is tough!

Well I am completely biased but Jacob is a fantastic name!
Just as a side note, our Jacob does not get called Jake as we have corrected anybody that has tried to call him that..

thanks ladies.
just thinking i should call him roman jacob or jacob roman
this is tough!

Do you call him by anything at the moment? What do you think he looks more like? You could try looking up the meanings of the names and see if that helps you make a decision xx

Both unusual and both really nice :) My friends mum has twins a boy and girl: Roman (boy) and Rowen (the girl) .. i thought that was quite cute!

Both are nice names, they sound good together both ways :) i'm not a fan of Ezra though, for some reason it reminds me of Elphaba from Wicked

I prefer Jacob, which is saying something as I'm usually drawn to unusual names. I just don't like Roman as a name. Roman is what you call someone from Rome... It's just not a first name for me! I do think Jacob Roman sounds quite neat though, so that would be my pick. I'm not a fan of Ezra.

i like both, we will probably be using jacob. if you think roman to too out there how about ronan?
