Hi ladies

This may be a daft question but what are your routines (if any) with your baby twins? I decided to establish a proper bedtime routine this week so I've been trying to organise the days so that they are tied at night. This is my plan:

8am - wake up, change of clothes, loud/noisy/chatty feed
Snooze for 1-2 hrs
Twin time/tummy time for 1-2 hrs

12noon - feed
Snooze 1-2 hrs
Activities (shopping, visiting etc)

4pm feed
Snooze 1-2 hrs
Play/twin time 1-2 hrs

7pm - bath/wash followed by change of clothes, and feed in aLost darkness with lullabies

8pm - bed (cot)

12 midnight - feed in dark with lullabies

4am as above

So far, the feeds and sleeping seems to be working although I realise this won't last when they start teething! This also a rough plan to aim for, when we're out and about it obviously won't follow as well in the daytime, it's more for our at home time.

My question is, do you follow a routine, if so is it. Working? Anything about the above you would do differently? I'm conscious that although I'm trying for plenty of playtime etc, they seem to end up sleeping on the play mat! How much do yours sleep? Mine are 9 weeks.

Really sorry for long waffly post but any hints and tips with structuring our days would be appreciated! Xx

Hello! I'm trying to recall those crazy days, and I definitely remember at 9 weeks my girls were still doing the every-three-hours-eating schedule. We fed at 2,5,8,11 AM and PM. During the daytime shifts, we would throw in some tummy time and playing under the baby gym time after a feeding. Our girls were major spitters, so play time was only after 30 minutes upright after eating.

At some point, you can start the 2-3-4 Sleep Routine (https://alphamom.com/parenting/baby/the-2-3-4-sleep-routine/), which we found to be pretty darn accurate.

Hope this helps!

I try a very similar routine except I dint have the times exact. We do play mat time at least twice. They are sleeping at 3-5 hour stretches at night now. My girls are 9 weeks too!

Do you give them a bath every night? I'm still at several times a week but wonder when I should go each night.

Thanks for the replies :hugs: we were bathing a few times a week but I've found they settle so much better afterwards so I've increased to every other day. It might go to every day yet as they are more settled after a bath than just a hand wash. I'll look into the 234 routine, sounds interesting xx
