Has anyone used royal jelly while TTC? Has it worked?! I have heard a lot about it but am nervous to try anything that hasn't been given to me by a doctor.

I was using it but stopped after I got a horrible stomach virus (not caused by the honey) and then wasn't able to take it so it wasn't part of my routine again. I plan on taking it again though. Get the one from the vitamin shoppe: https://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=RJ-1034

it's way too sweet for me so I put it in a smoothie. I don't know what results I've had from it (I've been taking so many things) but anything helps. I know some users doctors actually have recommended it. Plus it has a million other health benefits. I say go for it

if you use the code 7591 in the coupon part of the ordder you save 10%

if you dont have problem ovulating, I suggest you don't take it

Royal jelly is very high in estrogen

I took a teaspoon of it once a day mid cycle. The following cycle I ovulated 2 weeks early! From CD20 something to CD 9!
It was really shocking when peed on the CBFM for the first time and it showed a PEAK.
Not only that, I bled brown blood for days, probably the surge was too strong.
I had dark positive OPK for A WEEK, maybe more, I stopped testing because it was really depressing.
Luckily the next cycle I was back to normal

Hello DaniJean, I haven't conceived with RJ but I started taking it last cycle so will be happy to report back with any news!

I'm very lazy so have cut and pasted the following from one of my other posts! However, if you have any concerns about RJ I would speak to your doctor. Also as Bunnylicious posted, you should be aware that it may not be successful for everyone.

Quote taken from Pg. 13 'Roll up, roll up! Statistical chance of at least one BFP! - 3rd BFP Announced!'

"Royal Jelly is a substance secreted from the glands of worker bees. It is a nutritional aid for larvae within their first few days and is the substance that aids in the production of Queen Bees.

I'll just add my little disclaimer before I get 50 angry posters advising me that I am an RJ pusher without pushing the facts:))) as the following benefits are as a result of scientific/medical experimentation therefore the results may be disputed.

The properties for taking this super food (available in fresh or capsule form) is overall health of the reproductive system (supposedly slows the ageing process), increase in libido (I can definitely vouch for that!), reduction of inflammation (great help for those with PCOS and endo), increases the quality of eggs upon ovulation to assist in implantation, improves the quality of sperm and eases PMS symptoms by balancing the hormones. It is known to mimic estrogen in the body so can also help those with low estrogen levels.

It also has non-fertility related properties such as promoting healthy hair and aids in treating auto-immune conditions such as arthritis, also the prevention of vascularization of tumours.

It contains naturally occurring proteins, amino acids, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, E, Niacin, pantothenic acid and folic acid - i.e Lotsa goodies! It must be taken in it's purest form as any additives/preservatives will counteract the effects of RJ.

***Royal Jelly comes with an important warning to those with pre-existing allergies - most importantly, allergic reactions to bee stings or honey, asthma and can trigger further allergic reactions and even anaphylactic shock.***

Hope that helps! I've only just started taking it this cycle in 500mg doses once a day with food (no cut off point - take until you get a BFP) so I'll let you know how I get on!"

Wow, thanks for all the info ladies! I have read a ton about it and I think we are going to try it. Good to know to get it in its purest form and thank you for websites and coupon codes! DH and I have been trying for 5 months (which isn't that long, I know) but my OB is concerned because he is not sure I have been ovulating. Temps all over the charts, no AF for 3 months but keep getting BFNs :( So I went on provera to help AF make her return which worked! But I figured if RJ can help bring on ovulation it can't hurt, right?
LilLeafyLea I appreciate the very detailed information. Keep me posted on how it works for you! Baby dust to all!
