So my LO is 4 mths old and she seems to be eating more than i can produce. I work so i pump milk for her but it seems like i'm running out. I really don't want to supplement unless i absolutley have to. Any suggestions on how to produce more milk?

Well done you on pumping at work. It's not easy to dual task like this.

I think there are probably lots of answers to you question. It absolutely IS possible to increase both the amount you pump and the amount that baby gets from other sessions. It IS worthwhile, as you know.

Do you have a good book on pumping at work and increasing milk supply? The Diana West book is a great starting place but there are others. https://www.llli.org/nb/nbjanfeb05p18.html andhttp://www.workandpump.com/ might be good starting places.

allow baby to feed more when you can babys release the hormone needed to produce the milk, pumping does not do this. x

How often are you pumping?

Agree on the getting baby to feed more when you can its great for upping supply

MelanieAnn- Thanks for the book link! I didn't even think about buying a breastfeeding book. Which is wierd since i'm a baby book junkie! lol

Fraggles-I pump during my breaks at work or during LO's naptime.

theresarhuebb-thanks for the advice! :)

At 4 months baby will feed more as you are hitting a big groth spirt and sleep regression time

i don't have any advice just wanted to wish you luck:thumbup::hugs: x
