Lovely ladies, please share your wisdom and help me work out my DH's SA please!
We had a nice doctor but he was a bit clueless. We've been referred to a fertility clinic for an appointment in November but are trying to work out how bad this is.

I dont have a print out of his results (I'm going to phone up to ask for this next week) but overall the volume, concentration & morphology were all normal.

Under motility, his rapid progression was 44%, but had 66% immotile.

Whilst the doctor said the 66% was high, he wasnt sure that it was that bad given that 44% of his sperm were rapid progression.

I dont think we got the breakdown of the other two motility categories, but we can check when we get a copy next week.

Any thoughts welcome..... :shrug::shrug::shrug:

I can't help as I don't know a great deal, but I do know It's better than ours, we only had 39% motile overall.

We've been BFP twice (unassisted) in two years, but MC both times xx

I'm definitely no expert, but didn't want to read and run! I believe the World Health Organisation states that over 50% 'normal' motility is good (I think I've read that this may have recently been lowered to 40% +). My OH result was 49% ( 2 motility counts added together - one was 33% and the other 16%) so just below the 50%, the FS wasn't concerned at all. Just advised a multi vit and plenty of fruit and veg etc.

Hope you get some more definite answers :flower:

Thanks ladies! Appreciate your thoughts

Dan-O sorry that you MC twice, but does give me hope that its still possible.

If anyonelse has any ideas please let me know
