My 4 month old loves to bury her face in anything before she gets comfy enough to fall asleep. When we cosleep, she'll root around until she finds my pillow or arm to bury her face in. She loves sleeping in a Rock N Play for that very reason, but we went through hell trying to get my son out of that thing at 6 months and I don't want her to get used to sleeping in it either. She mostly sleeps in her PNP in our room, but she is going through a nasty sleep regression and will only sleep for an hour or 2 at a time. I know she'd sleep better if I'd let her bury her face in a blanket or pillow but I know it's not safe! Cosleeping isn't working well - our bed is too small with my husband and I, and I end up not sleeping a wink because I'm so uncomfortable. Help!

What about introducing a safe snuggly? My daughter sleeps with a cotton/bamboo cellular blanket that I cut into smaller snugglies for the same reason. She still at 5 sleeps with the snuggly right up on her face.

Me guy falls asleep with a muslin over his face!

Once he's asleep I move it so it's not covering his face but is next to it

Sophie was always like this too, and I am as an adult, I have to have something against my face. Sophie had a soft toy from 4 months, it was a very thin and breathable toy with no arms or legs or buttons/loose parts on it.
