Sales and marketing calls :-(

Had three today!
I've decided I'm going to ask the phone provider to change our number but will I need to keep a diary of calls before they will do that?
We're supposed to be ex-directory and on the TPS list but it obviously isn't enough

I always say 'we are on the TPS list so you shouldnt be ringing' and they pretty much hang up and I dont hear from them again

Exactly, tell them its illegal for them to be calling.

i always get calls from people asking for this other person who i think attempted to steal my identity (well... address and phone number) its been going on for 5 years. how do i get on that list?

its the same for us i just ignore the phone now, all my friends n stuff have my mobile number.

I have caller ID on my phone so if I don't recognise the number I just let it go to voicemail. I always know then it's been a sales call because they wait for a few seconds after the answerphone has started and then hang up.

I figure the time they waste waiting for me to pick up costs them money and stops them ringing someone else.

Not sure I'll continue this strategy when LO is here as that could get annoying.
