Saline Drops for respiratory tract infection (colds...)

Hiya,

Yesterday we were given saline drops to put up the nose as my bubba has got a nasty cold & cough. However whenever i give them to him, he seems to bring them back up again, therefore i dont know if they will be working if he is bringing it straight up again? Anyone know? Should i go back to the docs or do you think that maybe they may still work even though he brings it back up?

Hiya,
We are using these for my LO as he has a cold and a really snuffly nose! I think they just encouragethe snot to come out of his nose.
As far as I know, these are the only things babies can use for a cold.

i use saline spray and it's so much easier. it also encourages them to sneeze which dislodges the mucous. if you buy an aspirator you can use it after the saline to suck out any bogies etc x
