Hi, I'm so excited! Just found out my best friend who lives in Australia (I live in UK) is pregnant and we're due the exact same day. Well we're both still early on at 7 weeks so due dates may change slightly with our scans, but for now it's calculated at the exact same date. So so weird as she didn't know I was trying for another and I had no idea about her either. So disappointed I'm not living back there yet though as we'd have been in the same hospital where we both had our other kids. Would've been funny to possibly have your best friend as a room mate.

I don't think we could've planned this so well if we'd tried. Has anyone else had a similar experience with a friend or relative? I thought there might be some nice stories out there :flower:

Aw wow thats so exciting! You're already sorted with a bump buddy then :)

Yep just would've been extra great if we'd have been living in same country!:dohh:

That must be amazing! My best friend is also pregnant, but she's due in about 4 weeks and I'm due in about 6 months! What are the chances eh! I'd have loved to have shared my pregnancy that closely with my bestie!

We had 4 months between us for my last pregnancy and her second last (she's had another in between). So funny though, I still can't get over the coincidence! I just want to tell everyone, but I can't yet!

Still nice for you though. The kids will still ge able to play together and hopefully you can benefit from her hand me downs :winkwink:

This one is her 3rd baby and my 2nd, she didn't plan to have any more so she's actually got a lot o my son's old stuff! We just share things :haha:

My best friend is due the day before me!! So strange as neither of us were trying, both suprises and both on BC!!

That is so exciting. My oldest friend and I are about a week apart. We also didn't know that the other one was trying. She told me her news first and I replied with 'you're never going to believe it but.....'
I'm also a little sad because we are in different countries. She is back home in South Africa and she is so worried about me doing this in China!
But we talk three to four times a week and its so nice to share with each other anyway.

Wow Blake, you must be wrapped. Are you both going to find out what you're having?

Beanonorder, is there a chance you and your friend will live in same country again? My bestie and I were devastated when I had to move, cried and cried, but I will move back once baby is born.

Yes hopefully!! She actually told me when she was 6 weeks, however I didn't tell anyone till after my 12 week scan! I felt so bad not telling her!!

me and one of my oldest friends that i grew up with are due a day apart! we live in the same town, have the same midwife and even had our 12 week scans on the same day at the same time in the same hospital! our next midwife appointments are the same day and also our next scans as well. It so strange but exciting to have someone so close to go on this amazing journey with!

Wow Nikki, that's so cool. I wonder if you'll end up having your babies on the same day?

watch this space lol! it would be brilliant if we did! its such a shame u and your friend are in different countries :(

I know! We've been in each other's pockets since we were 4 yrs old, now we're on opposite sides of the world. Ah well it's not forever, we'll meet each others babies soon enough.

Did you know babies born on the same day (not necessarily same year) are called Irish Twins? Well that's what someone told me once. She was 50 something and I was in my 20s but we had the same birthday. Anyway just a meaningless bit of info for you!:haha:

I had two friends pregnant the same time as me one was due 6 weeks ahead of me and my other friend was due 3 months after me it was nice because we shared our stories and helped eachother get through the panic of slight pains and bleeding xx

I'd like to hope that one day we'll be in the same country again. As things stand there's no opportunities back in South Africa for us but I'm every hopeful that the situation will change. I don't really want to bring up a child away from all our family and friends.

Yep it's really hard. My daughter was born back home in Oz and spent her first 10 yrs there. We moved to the UK when my son was 7 months old and it was the hardest thing I've ever done. I had no friends here which made it worse to start off with, but I miss sharing the kids with my family all the time. Especially with a LO who's changing and doing and saying funny things all the time. Makes you strong though being away. I never thought I'd have the strength to get through this.
