My lil man loves bread and was looking for something apart from butter and cheese to put on. Is sandwich paste ok. I have tuna mayo and chicken & ham. He is 7 1/2 months old.

Check the salt content on ready made sandwich fillings hun, but I can't see why not. I made Fran tuna mayo from scratch today. She also has ham and sometimes jam, but not often.

You could try egg mayo too!

Like bigbetty said I would look at the salt content first. Tuna mayo from scratch is a lot healthier than the spreads as long as you get the tuna in spring water  Ham & chicken are good too. We've recently tried peanut butter too but they can only have that from 1 I think. If anyone else has got any other suggestions I would appreciate it too :)

Oooh forgot peanut butter - Fran had that at 6 months. She isn't keen though lol.

I thought Amelia would dislike it but she scoffed it down the first time I gave it to her on toast and then in a sandwich! I've just thought of another one too, Banana, although I haven't tried it yet.

Oooh good call - will have to try Fran with that

Thanks ladies might try banana and make the tuna.

what everyone else has already said just watch the salt content but sandwich paste should be fine.
Alfie has a mix of jam (st dalfour sugar free) egg mayo, tuna, salmon, avacado, cheese, ham.

I know you said you were bored o cheese but my DD is addicted to dairylea with slices of cherry tomatoes on her sarnies
