Santa/Father christmas??

What do u call old st nic?

I used to call him father christmas and so did my OH but now the kids call him santa claus....
Not sure where they got it from, but

Im just wondering really. I thought Santa Claus was the American name and Father Christmas the UK one?

Anyone wanna give me a history lesson??

Not sure, but here Santa is def the most common name you hear...I'm in the US

it used to be father christmas when i was a kid but i say santa to my stepson
