Saw peanut and heartbeat!!!

I had my first Ob apt last Wed and they saw peanut and dated me at 6 weeks!!!!! When they scanned in closer, the lady showed me the heartbeat, and you could see it, the blood whooshing in and out, I think I almost cried They say its a good sign seeing the heartbeat right? It lowers the chance of miscarrage? Anyways I just had to share peanut with everyone, I was so happy to see the baby on the scan, even though peanut was only a dot! We are going to have another scan on December 15, just to confirm dates, but Im excited and due date was set to July 13!!!!!!

congratulations. i would like to have a scan now to double check iv got my dates right but if i go next week (6weeks) then i dont get another scan til 20 weeks so im hanging tight and waiting until 12 weeks i think. i would love to have a scan soon then one at 12 weeks aswell. im going to ask my GP if theres anything she can do to help. its funny, although i know im pregnant lots of symptoms and very positive tests it wont sink in until i actually see it i think. so 12 weeks is a long way off for me at the mo. xx

Aww, I am 6+3 too! Have my first scan on Monday! They are going to date my pregnancy again after the scan, but so far they have given me a due date of July 12th! We are just about the same

Thank You ladies! Yes it was very reassuring to see babes, but again, Im a worry wart, so still in constant state of worry Once I hit 12 weeks, probably will feel much better!
clarel976, at first they thought my lil peanut might have been ectopic to, oh I was so happy babes decided to prove them wrong Good luck on your scan and you are in my thoughts!
LilMissHappy, what a bummer they wouldnt let you have another! But yes, if I was in your shoes, I would wait to! Luckily I get another at10 weeks just so they can verify the babies age, due date, all that fun stuff, but you will def get more of baby at 12 weeks, right now I think baby looks literally like a pea
DXM2935 You are only one day ahead of me! Who knows! We could go into labor at the same time! Are you noticing more baby bulge in your tummy to by any chance? I look like I ate a child, not like Im growing one! Hopefully it will die down soon

Awww congrats!

I had my first scan on Fri at 9+6 and it was amazing to see. My peanut was v active and we could see the little heart beating away. A truly amazing sight!

Next scan 9th Dec. Hurrah!!

Hey Wishfulmama! Yeah I am really starting to feel like I have a little tummy. I know it's just bloat bc it's squishy but I swear I feel large and in charge HAHA! What's funny too is that the scale reads that I've lost almost 5lbs! The scan pic is too cute, I can't wait until mine tomorrow

im going to ask if i can have a scan soon. i just want to see something so i know its real!! i am seeing my doctor on weds so il ask if i can have dating scan AND 12 week scan beginning of jan. fingers crossed. seems like a lifetime til 12 weeks without having any scans at all.

do you mind me asking why you have already had 4 scans? i have had none and will you get another scan when you are 12 weeks? i live in yorkshire so im hoping im allowed dating and 12 week scan. x

I have already had three scans, but due to some complications. The first one was because they thought babe might be ectopic, and all that one really showed was that my uterus was bigger, never even saw babe on that one it was so early. Then the second one was just a routine one by my OB. Then the third one was due to some bleeding from a subchorionic hematoma. Luckily baby looks ok and I get to go in for another scan today just to make sure the subchorionic hematoma has gone down. Im excited to see babe, but nervous on what the scan might show Fingers x'd tightly tho!!!!!
I think when we get scanned all depends on our OB to tho. Hang in there, you will see your peanut soon enough!!!!
