Scan at 7 weeks...???

So having had quite a bit of bleeding the midwife wants me to have an early scan before my booking in appointment next week. I had a mmc last year. My question is this: by my lmp I am 7 weeks today. Now, i ovulated day 12 but didnt get even the faintest line on a pregnancy test until 14dpo (five days of bleeding before Test showed positive). So, given these timings I am probably less than 7 weeks so will anything be picked up on an ultrasound? I am petrified about having one too early as that is how my mmc was picked up last year. I had a little fluttering bean show up at 4-5 weeks pregnant. They said he was ALMOST a centimeter long. WOW have we come so far! We're due in October!

I am sorry for your loss. I have had both a chemical and a MMC.

With my first healthy pregnancy, my DD, I was able to see a heartbeat at 6 weeks via an abdominal u/s. If an internal is done you should be able to see a heartbeat by 7 weeks but if you only see a fetal pole try to stay calm for a week and have another u/s.
