scan today :):) Updated! WITH PICS!!!!

I have my private scan today courtesy of my darling OH (had my dating scan at 9+1 and was told no more scans till my 20 wk one in June)

its at 11am so will let you all know how it goes when I get back etc later this afternoon



**UPDATE***
Welllll the place I went to was EXCELLENT! https://www.babyscanstudioperth.com/ The scan was so good! The people were so friendly!! They went through so much detail in the scan.. I got to see baby Looking good!! Dancing around so he/she was!! The man also showed me my uterous etc CONTRACTING!! I had NEVER seen that before! But he showed it to me and James. He was grinning like a cheshire cat!!

Babys heart beat was soooo strong!! 144

I paid £65 which is the 15 min appoint package for 2 2D scan pics.... well......The man let us watch the baby in 3D!!! He then gave us 4 3D pictures!!! And it took us about 45 mins!! He gave me a free pregnancy magazine too (rrp£4.99)

When me and James got back in tha car after we looked at the leaflet he gave us.... he let us have the £125 package!!! For the price of the basic package!! They were so thorough and showed us bubs and heart beat etc over and over again ALSO If I would like a scan later in the pregnancy I get it for free!!!

I will get the pics up later on tonight I need to steal the scanner from Lillysmum heehee!

I am glad all is well. Looking forward to the pictures. I think I will be in the same boat as you. I am getting a scan at 10 weeks and they might then say I have to wait till 20 weeks. Luckily I live in Perth so I know where to go. Sounds great value for money. Are you having your baby at Ninewells? I found it was a really good hospital. Take care.

so u guys in england have a midwife and someone else who does the scan??
u don t have an ob gyn whom u see everymonth and they do the scan for u as well???

I live in Scotland, dont know if it is different from England. I go to the hospital for scans but see the midwife at my doctors. The midwife listens to the heartbeat,takes blood and checks your urine etc. If you have any complications you get refered to a consultant at the hospital. Hope this helps.

We get a scan from the hospital. And the scan I had today was a guy who does private scans for reassurance.

Yeah all my kids were born in Ninewells. We have a new birthing centre opened here unfortunately I cant use it as I am classed as high risk for various medical reasons and so need to have the baby in the hospital
