Has anyone been offered any other scans other than 7ish week early scan after m/c's?

Just wondering if all goes well tomorrow if they will just see me at my 12 week scan or if they would fit another one in between then?

I lost my first baby with mmc at just under 12 weeks but baby only measure 9 weeks so I'll constantly be worrying even if tomorrow is ok.

My baby died at 9 weeks and i didn't find out until a scan at 12+1

I haven't even been offered an early scan. Although because it happened at 9 weeks, even if i saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks i still would be worried about something going wrong so i think i'm happy to wait until 12 weeks.

I expect it would depend on the area you live in and their protocols. You could always ask and see what they say!

I agree with meow, it tends to vary depending on area. Definitely see if you can get your mw to put you down for another tho xx

Hi Hun, it really does differ significantly between areas which is not fair. I had 2 mmc's earlier this year. They would not give me early scans both those times because I didn't have any bleeding or pain. This time I rang them and I got one but I think that was down to the discretion of the person answering the phone because normally they do not offer early reassurance scans to anyone who has not suffered 3 mc's in a row. I think they felt sorry for me because my mmc's were only diagnosed at first scan. I had no bleeing or pain to tell me there was something wrong.

I went at 6+3 and they offered me a follow up a fortnight later (this Thursday) so that I did not have to wait so long for 12w scan.

I had one at 6+5 - if I had been any further along they told me it would have been used as my dating scan and I wouldn't have gotten my 12 week scan - I knew I was asking for a nuchal fold scan so I wasn't worried about that.

I would only have got another scan if something had happened like bleeding so I paid for a private scan at 8+4.

hi there i'm super worried too, i mc in june this yr and now i'm 8+4 weeks. everything was ok at my 6week scan saw lil pip and beating heart had that scan due to bleeding. i hav another scan on thursday.. so worried tho that something is wrong. my symptons hav gotten less over the last few days and i hav been getting crampings.. hope everything is ok x

They have decided to scan me every two weeks for re-assurance so I'm really pleased about that. Thanks for the replies.
