Seeing an RE - Am I jumping the gun?

We've only been TTC since October and my doctor is referring us to a fertility specialist. I'm on cd61 with no sign of ov and I went to see him because I was worried.....I'm 33.

With the amount of effort and tracking we're all involved with, we have enough (what i like to call) ammo to back up our problems or suspected problems. Everytime something happens (spotting at 5 dpo last month with a 10 day luteal phase for me) I just think it's stronger proof that I need the medical help. "Trying" with these issues is in vain. There's no point, but I practice due diligence monthly.

I am guessing he wants to do the uterine biopsy to see if the lining is too thin or too thick. I read if the endometrium (lining) is too think it causes abnormal spotting/irregular shedding before it's time. It's because of too much estrogen and too little, you guessed it, progesterone : )

Oh yeah and if it's too thin it breaks down early too?? Man I'm screwed either way : )

Really? That is just too much! Can they not see that with an ultrasound? Years ago when I wasn't TTC and I went to my gyno about this, he did an ultrasound and I remember him commenting on the thickness of my lining...but...I may not have been telling him the proper info about AF because I wasn't aware of CD1/flow because of my stupid spotting.

I tried something different during this lp...instead of my regular Bcomplex100, I am taking straight B6 but 250 mg. This is on the high level but I'm 8 dpo and haven't started spotting yet. A big improvement from last cycle when I started at 5dpo.

Well that's positive! The one month I took B6 100 mg I didn't ovulate. I dont know if that was me still regulating after coming off BC or what, but that was the first and last month I took that.

Also I'm glad you said that thing about not knowing when CD 1 is. I said that to the nurses at the RE and they were like oh you'll KNOW, it's the first day of full flow. And I wanted to be like ummmm yeah, but I DONT know!

Oh boy did I ever speak too soon! 9 DPO today and had my first spot. :(

I read more about endometrial biopsies - I want one now!

It's horrible that B6 kept you from ovulating. All these things we put into our bodies...I'm the only person (outside of this forum!) I know who has a) taken this long to conceive and b) takes a million pills a day to help.
