And as for the maternity leave thing, well the boys had better get on with it and grow a womb, and a baby in it!! Then they can be happy with being "off". Sounds like they all need to grow up!! No, I'm not sorry I ask, I care about my friends, even though we've never met!! The saying "nowt as queer as folk" is so true, hey? Are you trying to change teams? Is that possible? x

Lady K - didn't realise how bad it was for you. In Your line of work HR issues ( or should I just say boys being idiots) is always a difficult one. I have friends who are officers and civilians so am well aware over the years the 'clickyness' and 'immaturity boyness' . Hope something changes soon for you

does anyone if its the power supplier your with reads the meters or a other company which reads all the meters and then reports to each supplier ?

Think it depends on your supplier but generally it's outsourced and reported back to the supplier. Why you ask? I know it is in our area anyway

Kara we send out meter readings in directly, but every now and again we get a random meter reader round, probably to check we're giving the right details!!!

havent read yet just wanted to update quickly Amelia had her jabs and the crying didnt last too long ! she has been a little out of sorts this evening but has had some calpol, Layla couldnt have her jabs, id asked the dr to look at what i though was exzema on her back and the dr was concerned and got a second opinion , they think the poor little girl has shingles! I was so shocked she hasnt had chicken pox (my friends baby did a few weeks ago so ive been watching for spots) The dr is a little confused by it but the pattern and positioning is text book shingles aparently i have to go back next week to see if it has cleared up. she is fine in herself and eating well ect but it does lead me to agree with BTP that a chicken pox jab is a good idea!

Ill go make a coffee and come back to catch up x

Thanks guys, i have had to put up alot, im just pleased i only work part time... When the boys made that comment my reply was " well you guys can pee standing up, you dont see me getting funny over it" but apparently it upsets them.. I could move teams but apparently my team have told people im trouble and its very easy to get a name for yourself... whether its true or not.. Im just keeping my head down and hope they will all move at some point, 5 other people have been bullied out of my team over the years and im not letting them kick me out.... Im stubborn I guess..lol

We have had problems with them reading the wrong meter and thinking of changing suppliers but not worth it if its the same people who read it.. we give in our own readings but they check every now and then but always seem to make mistakes and have to sort it out.

We also have been fighting over our gas bills for years, its always been really high and british gas said its not their end and my landlord said its not their end... 13 years later when they changed the gas meter it seems there has been a small leak all this time as the pipes where not connected properly !!! so fighting that too..

GG glad the injection went well but sorry to hear about Layla.. hope you find out what it is soon x

Yeah I've had to sign two accident reports now. Lady at work says she is constantly signing the forms for her little boy so just think it's to be expected to get a few knocks and grazes.

Greetings lovelies!
Kind of a grumpy day here today.
Lots of sick boys (including a husband), and naughty toddlers, and griping babies.
Sigh.
the cats were very well-behaved?

Started swim lessons with the boys this evening.
Tobe swallowed water every time I tried to get him to blow bubbles. And it was a salt water pool. So by the end of the half hour lesson, he vomited. And about three minutes later, the salt water cleaned him out the other end, as well.

Can't wait for next week's classes! Sigh.
However, despite all the intestinal cleansing, Tobe seemed to really enjoy himself and was very interested in chewing on a rubber duck.

I'm up to my ears in Zoo work through to xmas. Lots of fun projects. Not everything is confirmed, but it looks like I've got a fair bit to keep me busy. Lots of fun creative stuff, too. Going to bid on a few other writing jobs in the next week, so we'll see how the new year will pan out, as well.

Otherwise, just hoping I don't get the boys' cold. Drinking lots of medicinal wine to keep the germs at bay!

Really sorry no personals! Just wanted to let you all know alyssa was born on Wednesday 14th at 11.16pm weighing 6lb 10oz 51cm long with no pain relief and she's doing great at breastfeeding. Will post a pic when I work out how to do it on my phone x

May I just say a big thank you for all the congratulatory messages!
Well, the update is as follows- yesterday morning with FMU i did a cheap test and the line was even fainter, so I went and bought a FRER...two lines!!!! and then this morning I did another cheap test (as I am now a POAS addict) and two lines again, and this time darker! I AM PREGNANT!!!!
It is such early days that I am just taking each day as it comes. I have tummy ache which scares me but perhaps this is normal?! Back to every twinge and pain worrying me all over again. I just pray for a sticky bean!

YM- Poor you and the SPD, Pip will be here before you know it and it will all be forgotten!
LAdyK- Your colleagues sound like right A*holes.
Asher- I hope you settle into work quickly.
Genies- Poor little princess, shingles no less. I hope she recovers very quickly.
Emzy- Holly is a proper little cutie pie!

Oh, by power of deduction this little bean was conceived over the wedding weekend, but dating will tell for sure. I just want to get to 12 weeks. I cannot believe I got a natural BFP. Perhaps getting married was just what the doctor ordered!

I must go, washing to hang out and I have to register us all at our local doctors.
I hope you are all keeping well and Emzy I keep my FX'd for a BFP for you too. xx
