September Stars

I agree with GG Becs, their loss!! If you asked me out for some food and a beer, I'd be there!!

This million pound drop thing is so infuriating! I love it though!

GG, it must be so lovely watching the little girlies being their little selves!Twins but so different. Hope Layla's "shingles" clear up soon, if that's what it is! Bless her!!

Yay YM, good on Kimi with the crawling!! x

Boony HUGE HUGE congratulations :hugs: :hugs:

Teeny :cloud9: thats fab news

Jelly I have accident reports for tab too :hugs:

Ym yaaay for crawling

Becs it's so pathetic when people do that :grr:

Anyone noticed we have a 'guest' again??

Ladies im at abit of a loss.

JJ is teething with tooth 6 plus has a cold. Last night he was waking every two hours we gave him calpol and ibuprofen. Today he seemed very grizzly and would easily start to cry, had to purée some of his food as he wouldn't eat any solids.

Tonight he's slept for 2 1/2 hours but has woken crying again. Given him calpol left him then he started crying again so I took him to our room for cuddles and he calmed down and started wanting to investigate things. As soon as I put him back in the cot he cries. I don't know what I can do, if I bring him in with me he doesn't settle and sleep but likes to explore etc but I can't leave him in his room as he's getting too upset. Should I just cuddle him ? I know after a year I should know what to do but he's normally such a good sleeper.

Becs - :hugs: I hate thoughtless people but if that's what they are like it's there loss

GG - loved the video of the girls on their chairs.

im going to ring on monday to see if they can change it to a different day next week x

jelly poor j hope he feels better soon i fine ibuprofen better for James x

thanks jelly im only going to change it if its next week i dont want to put it off x

Jelly try the ibuprofen but on nights like that I would sit on a seat and cuddle mine to sleep (neither of mine would sleep in bed with me) then once they were fully asleep and once I woke up again I would put them in the cot. :hugs: don't stress if you want to just cuddle him do.

OMG OMG OMG !!!!! Boony huge congrats she is stunning !!!!

Teeny- congrats honey.... so pleased xx

FFS how broody am i now !!!!!

Will be back to catch up on the recent posts.... xxxx

Thanks everyone for the lovely messages on Facebook and here.

Becs I would ignore them their loss!

Jelly we had this problem with Tyler not long ago we ended up putting a travel cot in our room so he could see us but then he could play there or sleep. It only lasted a week and now he's back to sleeping well again.

Kara I don't know how you cope working with idiots!

I have a question for the bf ladies if one of you can help. Last night my milk came in and my booby are huge and uncomfortable alyssa is feeding well but isn't emptying them would I be better expressing some off or just leaving her to empty them eventually? Also if I do express how long can it be frozen for and how long should I wait before trying her with a bottle?

Unless they are uncomfortable don't express I would say, unless you plan to express anyway. Just your body won't learn to regulate the amount of milk...milk can freeze for a looooooong time.

No i wasnt planning on expressing yet because i dont want to give her a bottle and risk nipple confusion. They dont seem as uncomfortable this morning as they were yesterday and last night so i'll hold off on the expressing for now thanks for answering me. I feel like a first time mother again not knowing what to do lol

Ah bless you Boony, brings the memories back!! It's horrible when your milk first comes in, your body has to adjust to it and regulate the supply. My advice would be paracetamol, warm flannel/bath, and then savoy cabbage leaves in your bra for a couple of hours!! Cabbage is best out of the fridge, and just score the leaves a bit with a knife to release the chemicals that help with the inflammation. I had a really old school midwife when Jack was tiny, and she swore by that combination, and it really really worked, I did it again when Sam was tiny. Also, just encourage Alyssa to feed whenever, and that should help ease things. You might just smell like a Sunday dinner for a few hours!! Hope you are enjoying your babymoon!! How are the boys adjusting to their little sister?

Aw Jelly, I am with you on the horrid teething baby front. We had another shocking night with Sam. I would just go with whatever you think he needs, and if that's a cuddle in bed with you or somewhere else, go with it. Ibuprofen is a help, I think, but it's the mum cuddles they want most. Bet you're shattered! xx

I'm going to take the dogs out in a minute I think, then swim time this afternoon. Full of a cold, so that's not helping anything. Grrrr. Catch you all later. x

Thanks Asher ill give it a try once I've been to the shop! Alyssa fed a lot this morning so thats helped. The boys are great with her Jayden just wants to hold or watch her all the time and Tyler just looks at her confused lol. I'm looking forward to alyssa being weighed tomorrow to see how she's doing she has her heel prick tomorrow too!

i tried James with a bottle at 5 weeks and he was fine with both. I never froze milk but i know its a long time as blob said. If you Google from bump to breast there is some fab advice on there and its run by the nhs too x x

Thanks Lbb ill give it a look. Hope you manage to change James appointment

Ahh boony you will be making us all broody ! :)
Lovely photos x

I'm cold today all wrapped up on my jumper ! Girls are having a big nap so I've been tidying toys and setting up a physical area indoors do when they wake up they have the slide indoors and tunnel and blocks .

I also got down the snow suits I'd bought when I was pregnant for them for this winter as they were cheap in the next sale but as huge as they look I don't think they will fit :(

Aww genies i found James' snowsuit from last year hanging on the back of his bedroom door and it made me  x

Just a really quick one from me,

Becs, I really wouldn't feel its you hun, like everyone says its there loss, I would just move on and let them get on with it. I think you have to get a bit thick skinned as you get older, I must have the hide of a Rino by now!!! Huge Hugs sweetie xxxx

Boony, Again, what the others said, feed on demand to get the milk regulated, it will calm eventually, if you get too engorged then pop her on for a feed to try and get some milk off, use the cabbage leaves in your bra to cool, if you get any painful lumps or particually hot areas of your boob get checked out so it doesn't turn into mastitis, oh my spelling is shit tonight, I have a screaming toddler next to me!! lol xx

Sorry was just a quick pop in, hugs to all, manic day for me, now have a hysterical toddler, she went outside after her dad when i said not to, so i got her back in and she has kicked off! And is still kicking off!!! Ahhhhhh, this is what our babies turn into!!

Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ha ha BTP, I feel you on the screaming toddler, although Jack is 4! He can throw the biggest wobblers I've ever seen, little horror!! Hope she calms down soon.

I am just getting ready for a nice hour long helping of Mr Barlow on X Factor. Yum. Might enjoy him with a nice glass of wine! 2 more sleeps before I go back to work, eek! Going to get a couple of new work tops tomorrow, tried trousers on before and they're all okay, just need tops and a coat/hoodie for over the top. All feels very weird. And I'm going to take Sam to Clarks to get some shoes tomorrow too. Lots of changes!!
