Well girls, sorry to be so bloody blunt. Me and OH have just been having a conversation. My friend had her sweep the other week and said the midwife was feeling the baby's head while she was up there. I saw Danny's face when I told him this and now he is quite legitimately frightened of doing the deed. He is convinced he will hurt his son.

So my really naive question is if a midwife can get her fingers to touch the baby's head how come sex is safe?! It got me thinking too, I just try and convince him so he can do it but the poor blighter is understandably disturbed!! And girls, I'm not boasting here..... I just want this baby out!!

Im sure she meant she could feel the pressure of his head and not like his hair and stuff!? Thats so funny! Well my OH isnt going near me now so lucky you!

They can feel the head if your cervix is open a bit but its thru the membranes ie the amniotic sac, which are thicker than you think. They can feel if baby has hair!! Sex is safe when your membranes are intact because the swimmers cant get to baby and unless you are lucky enough to have a very well endowed hubby it's quite high up to reach and then a pretty small target hit to actually touch the baby's head!!

Sex right up to the due date is supposed to be good for the whole labour process - just do a little google research for back up when convincing your OH that its in the baby's best interest and in your best interest for you guys to do the wild thing!

Sex is safe 2 weeks before you are due. That is when you have a healthy pregnancy meaning that there's no complications like bleeding and others. Then it's your choice to do it after that for when until the baby is due. I think my OH is very much afraid to do it just in case he hurts the baby or me. So we have to wait for another 6 weeks at least after the baby is born...

my OH claims he could feel the babys head with his finger,
i didnt think he would be able to do this, i thought it was something that only the midwife would be able to tell.
but he is really sure that he felt the babys head, and has made him all excited.


do you think he could have?

Lol,I think my OH would freak out if he could feel her head.... Can just picture it now what he'd do.Haha.
