How long was sex still uncomfortable for you? It gets slightly better for us every time, and maybe we just aren't doing the deed enough  but it still feels, tight, kinda dry, I guess (TMI) but feels better sometimes once we get into it. My postpartum checkup was normal so I'm not sure if it just takes a while or if I should go in to the Dr. again and get things checked out.

Curious what your experience is.

We're eight months on , had a totally uncomplicated labor no tears or stitches . Post natal check up was good . Sex is extremely uncomfortable/painful fir me , it gets better after a little while but is never good even with lots of lube. I went into the doctor , she said the skin is very thin and dry because of the hormones and breastfeeding . She prescribed me some estrogen cream , which I have been hesitant to use fearing it would effect my supply but from everything I've read it doesn't .

Us too :( It still feels a bit like someone is scratching my cervix with sandpaper :( My doctor says that only time will work to heal things though :(

Hope our time comes soon!!!

I did wonder if it had anything to do with still BFing. Very good to know!!!

Oh dear ... I had better keep quiet about the BF link, hubby is already trying to persuade me to stop!

It makes sense that it would have an effect though.

I was just going to ask if you were still bf - I had a section so no implications of scar tissue or anything down there but it was still painful even at 13 months after delivery until I had a normal af - that was the first month that it didn't hurt and interestingly the first month of ttc that we had our bfp.. I bf until 21 months and it was fine after the 13 months thing but until then it was very very very very painful at times, I'd definitely go with it being because of bf!

So good to know it is probably because of BFing...and it will be normal again someday!
