Is it like normal sex or like ruff sex thats more effective?
PMSL i feel silly writtin that down .. didnt seem so bad to ask when said in my head PMSL.

DTD last night and nothing PMSL mate said oh no it gotta be hard ruff sex..
I think if we done that id cry  PMSL im too achy for that!!!!

as far as i no its the juice's from OH that soften the cervix that is similar to the gel used to induce women, not sure if the ruffness matter lol :) :) :)

This is something I was wondering too... I can barely get my OH to DTD since my plug came away he thinks its gross, I have to get all seductive and promise sexual favours in return hahaha... it hasnt worked for me so far but Im gonna keep trying! x

Well last night was my last hope that S.E.X will do somethings. Karl goin back to London tonight and wont see him till next sat!

Noooo don't do it rough  unless thats how u like it :haha: sex works to bring on labour as sperm contains a hormone called prostaglandins and this helps to soften the cervix... so normal/rough/upside down/whatever type of sex - as long as his love juice goes in then ur all good lol  x

It also helps if you orgasm, as it causes a release in the hormone oxytocin. Oxytocin is one of the hormones that help the uterus contract, bringing on contractions. So it doesn't matter if the sex is rough or not, just as long as both of you enjoy yourselves to the fullest

I dont like pinapple  I think i know deep down none of these will work till my body is ready to go into labour but it passes the days

Certainly does! It give me something to concentrate on lol... today is the only day I DONT want to go into labour as DS starts school in the morning and he will be gutted if Im not there to take him! x

Me and my OH have dtd three times in the last week and then twice last nite and this morning and nothing!! Although my sex drive seems to have come back so I guess it's not all bad apart from the fact that sex will off the menu for a bit after little one is here!

Black licorice could actually bring your little baby to the world more quickly! When in full term pregnancy, eating large amounts of black licorice could bring on labor. There is scientific proof for that, too. Natural licorice contains glycyrrhizin, which is one of the main components of licorice root, and the reason for its sweet taste. In recent studies, glycyrrhizin has been associated with preterm delivery. An international group of researchers found out that heavy consumption of licorice (500 mg/week) was associated with a more than twofold increased risk of early delivery, which means giving birth on week 37, or earlier (Am J Epidemiol). Thus, pregnant women should avoid using black licorice as a supplement, or consuming large amounts of licorice as food, before their estimated due date.

Pharmacists have known the effects of natural licorice for long. As natural licorice and the chemical glycyrrhizin tend to cause contractions of the uterus, it has been used to bring on labor when the pregnancy becomes overdue. Actually, some pharmacists might even recommend licorice instead of castor oil when you are buying something to bring on labor.

Very interesting... but i dont like licorice either PMSL
Im not really that fussy, u girls are makin me out to look like I am!

i have had sex the last tonights, first nite was nice and gentle but last nite thought sod it gentle didnt work so tried yhe ruff option, had a 1.5 hr walk with dogs this afternoon and now waiting for my nice hot bubble bath to run as i am still here and no sign of LO. i love being pregnant but i want my baby here now, wanna meet her!! x x

Apparently your cervix has to 'sit in' the semen (sorry!) for 30-60 mins for it to have a chance of working. Having said that we DTD a few days ago and I lost my plug afterwards, although still not in labor! x
