Sex to get things moving .... Maybe TMI!!

As some of you know I had a sweep yesterday and I was 1cm dialted (so I'm guessing my cervix is soft!) but I've had no pains, or extra plug, or any signs at all since. I'm keen for him to come naturally as induction is a scary prospect.

Firstly....is there any point DTD now that my cervix is already soft?

Also my OH has said he just can't do it! The MW could feel my babies head yesterday and this has freaked him out!!!

I'm sure if we did do it, I wouldn't have the big O (which I know is meant to help) but it feels so clinical I know it won't happen!! Soooo I said to my OH all I needed was his 'stuff'!

He suggested he could get himself excited to the point of no return, and then just quickly go inside me!!!!!

Would this work?? Lol sorry thinking of it makes me laugh, but if it helps I'll give anything a try!! What do u ladies think??

ha ha...maybe try rasperry leaf tea followed by a hot curry as a back up plan

I agree with emmanbump.... nothing works!!!

I have tried EVERYTHING!! DTD, Curry's (vindaloo), Parsley Tea, bouncing on the birthing ball, driving over sleeping policeman FAST!!!, Long distant jogging on the Wii Fit.... Nothing works!!
Although Jogging did give me a couple of hours of strong BH's but i couldn't keep it up i thought i was going to have an asthma attack!!

At first I thought you were literally running over sleeping police officers! I wasn't sure why that would bring on labor or how you weren't going to jail for doing it! PMSL

I do hope you ladies go into labor soon so you don't have to be induced, just don't run over anyone!

Oh my god, i got married on halloween too an that was the last time me an my hubby had sex. sorry not on subject but thats just creepy weird!!

We didnt even manage it on the wedding night...I was too tired and he was too drunk! LOL

I did PMSL when in the middle of the night he gets out of the 4 poster bed in the bridal suite, stumbles over to the door and tries to go out onto the landing...(he needed a wee) I shout at thim to go to the other side of the room (where the bathroom was) only for him to try again...LOL

I should have just let him wander onto the landing to see where he ended up or what he peed on LOL!!

The Halloween wedding was my excuse to wear a red dress and have people carve pumpkins for us!

I don't think my OH will be too willing after the afternoon we just had! It's a good job I'd already decided not to bother!!

Although I'd forgot about nipple stimulation! That's something I can do on my own!

Probelm with nipple stimulation is you are supposed to do it for hours!!!

Mind you its not as if we're up to much at the moment is it...well I'm certainly not.

hmmm I got the breast pump out today to make sure I could put it together and make sure it worked...hmm maybe give it a go.

Probably just end up with cracked nips and cramp in my hand knowing me!

I haven't got a pump just yet (I thought if I had one I'll be much more tempted to use it too early!) so can't try that one!

Lmao sooo sorry if this is TMI but my boobs are sooo big I can actually easily get my nipple in my mouth! Luckily i've had no leakage yet so if I get desperate I could get sucking. Haha sorry that's sooo wrong!!

i had my cervical stitch removed at 36 weeks and i was told then i was 1cm dilated. We have been having sex almost every nite but this has not helped. I have also started to drink Rasberry leaf tea and walking hopefully it`ll speed up things my Midwfe said they will only do a sweep after 41 weeks.... you are so lucky wish i could get mine done now coz i`m 39wks 2 days and i am so ready to have my baby.

This thread made me laugh. I am due 26th and asked my OH to get down to it and he said can you not use a vibrator so took that as f off! The pineapple or sweep worked for me in my 2nd pregnancy so I am buying a pineapple this weekend and have sweep booked for Monday.

Would be interesting if we all ate pineapple to see if it works for anybody. Loads of people have said it works.
