My baby girl was born Tuesday 8th September at 00.06am weighing 6.5lbs.
My water broke Sunday evening and I went into hospital 7am Monday to be induced.
Got started on the drip at 9.30am at 1cm dilated. Active labour began at noon and I had gas and air for two house until I couldn't handle the contractions. Couldn't open my eyes during them cos they hurt me so much!
The doctor gave me an epidural at 2.30pm, I remember him beginning to say "I just need to tell you the risks..", before I shouted "NO YOU DONT JUST GET IT IN!" Hahaha.
Anyway, 5cm dilated at 5pm, 8cm at 6pm, fully dilated at 10pm and began pushing at 11.30pm.
Unfortunately my baby wasn't happy so they cut me and delivered her with forceps.
Because I'd been on the drip for so long, I ended up losing 800mls of blood so I don't remember much of what happened (except the hallucinations..!) but I did projectile vomit all over my baby as they placed her on me. Oops!
My mum cut the cord and was there supporting me through it all.
I had a blood transfusion the next day and stayed in until last night.
We are all home now, I'm so happy!
This is my daughter, Eva Scarlett.
Good luck to you all awaiting your babies! X
