Welcome to the world my little Romany.....Born at 5.41 am on the 21.01.11
4 days late weighing 7lb 11oz
will up date with birth story and pics when iv finished having cuddles! x
Ok so my story
well the theory that 2nd labours are easier and quicker was most certainly NOT the case for me lol
went into labour at 7am thurs morning(20th) and had her by normal VB at 5.41 am fri morn (21st the day before her daddy's bday), so abut 21 hours, (my first was 7 hours lol)
Contractions started at 20 mins apart, not agonising but only just bearable, these continued all day increasing in length and painwise goin from short sharp shocks to waves, by 3pm they were 8 mins apart and not very pleasant lol, walking and 3 baths later they were at 5mins apart lasting just over a min,
upto the labour ward,(7pm) im 1cm dialated cervix soft, sent for a walk, come back after a loosing a little blood, still 1cm but cervix softer.... was told can stay on ward or go home, chose he 2nd option, (hate hosp)
by 12am 4 mins apart lasting 2 mins and im in not a good place i dont mind tellin you lol
my poor OH did so well to cope with me, im not sure i even knew i was capable of the noises i made lol
at 3am 3 mins apart and virtually 1 blending into the next, examined and im 9cm dialated, G&A to relax,
midwife was brilliant, only needed 5/6 pushes and my gorgeous daughter entered the world.....
I tore a little, needed 4 stitches but nothing major.....
Daddy cut cord, all perfect and well....
She didnt want to feed so decided not to go home but to transfer to ward to establish feeding.... with a little help over the course of the 2days (fri and sat) shes now latching on with little or no help and feeding well YAY - was let home last night at 8pm
Introduced her to my lovely doggins who are besotted and already way protective, with my male sleeping under the crib and not letting the other 2 near her lol
