Are shops open on bank hols?

Woolworths, Wilkos .. Tesco?

Most places are i think, ive just got back from tesco so they are definitely open !! i think most places that are open shut around 4 though, tesco's is open 10-6pm but that is tesco extra so the smaller places might shut earlier!

I have to go to the bank & post office so if I go today I'll have to go again - Only plan on doing one last trip tp shops before we go
