When do they start? DS still feeds for an hour each feed every 2-3 hours. He sleeps for a little bit near the end but if I pop him off when he starts to sleep he wants more in 10 mins so I just let him fall asleep and wake up to finish on his own. I'm wondering when he will start to feed for shorter amounts of time? 5-10 min feeds sound amazing! He's going through a growth spurt right now and I hope that will help.

My LO has started having short feeds during the day. He generally eats for 10 or 15 mins every 2 hours. DS1 was different, he never got out of long feeds but would go longer between them.

My LO started feeding really quickly around 3-4 months, he just got quicker & quicker, now he's done in about 5 seconds! LOL

I must admit tho, I really miss the long feeds, I loved getting up in the morning & feeding him, I got a good hour of sitting on the couch watching telly & getting baby snuggles! I miss it so much!

I really don't remember with my first - but then I had all the time in the world and was happy to sit on the sofa watching TV whilst he fed & slept for hours.

This time I feel like the feeds take forever - bit I do have a toddler running around whilst I'm trying to feed so even 10 mins feels like forever at the mo!

My LO is 2 months now and he feeds in about half the time he used to. We used to have hour long feeds, now we are down to about 30 mins every 4 hours.

Even my mum noticed he's quicker & I'm not feeding for as long.
Hopefully as he gets bigger he will feed quicker.
He still likes the occasional Mamorth feed though - usually about 4am!!
