My very heavy two year old did a seat drop with his whole weight directly onto my stomach. Baby is moving fine, seems normal.

I know that baby moving normally is a good sign and I shouldn't worry. It really hurt though! Reassure me? He gave me big cuddle after I yelped. That helped a bit :).

Xx

I wouldnt be if baby seems ok then probably is they have a lot of cushioning in there between the placenta and fluid so you should be fine.

As long as you don't have fluid levels, baby just went on a little ride. My toddler has done this to me a few times. When it has happened in third tri, I have called my doctor to get checked out - feel free to do the same, especially if you're scared. You don't need to stay worried until you're finally able to get looked over again - that's what they're there for. :)

I wouldn't worry, mine is always jumping on me even though I try to guard myself sometimes I can't lol. They are well protected. Think if you have prolonged pain rather than just the initial ouch maybe you should get checked out to be on the safe side but other than that! xx

They say a bump here and there won't hurt baby. It would have to be a major car accident like a head on collision for there to be any risk to baby

Felt like a car crash. Lummox. Thanks all for the reassurance :). I'm sure I'll live!

This happens to me a LOT. Alex likes to do a sudden dive bomb on me that I can't always prepare for. Dimitri usually kicks back and shifts a little right after. I have a feeling it's only foreshadowing for life outside of the womb. :haha:

As long as baby is moving fine, everything should be okay. :) if you feel nervous about it you could always go get checked out just for the reassurance.

Meh I still feel nervous, but that's normal :D. I was lying on the bed on my back chatting to him and he ran up, jumped, and literally dropped on top of the bump with his butt. His full wait is about 2.5 stone, so pretty chunky haha

If you're worried it's always worth getting checked out, even if just to put your mind at rest.

Those little babies do have lots of padding though :hugs:

Always worth getting checked out just in case. I'm sure everything is fine though.
My two year old tends to flop onto my bump if we're laying down together or something which does really hurt sometimes, but I think it's mothers intuition if there's something wrong or not.

If you're worried, perhaps call your doctor to check you over :)

I'd probably give the hospital a call to be on the safe side, but baby is more than likely gonna be fine.

DD did this to me when I was around 20 weeks pregnant. I went in to hospital (but its because I am rhesus negative so needed to be checked and administered anti-d), but baby was absolutely fine.
