I am 9 weeks today, and tried using a home doppler but was unable to locate a heartbeat. I know it's still early but when I googled using a home doppler most women said they heard the heart beat around 8-9 weeks. I know it's probably just too early for the home doppler to pick up, but I wanted more opinions. :)

I heard that it sometimes can't be picked up until 10 weeks+. Don't stress. :)

My doctor had told me they wouldn't test for a heartbeat until after 10 weeks because the chance of not finding one earlier than that isn't the best.
I'd say don't worry. Wait about a week and try again.

My MW wouldnt even attempt to try and find the heartbeat until 16 weeks as before then baby can just be too small to locate it x

I'd say before 12 weeks the chance of finding the heartbeat is about 50/50 so I definitly wouldn't worry

I am over 12 weeks and my mw won't entertain checking with a Doppler yet, says it can cause more worry than relief!!

Wouldn't worry, as I assume you are an untrained radiographer, you may take quite a while to find the hb. Just have to wait till the baby is bigger and it's easier to find. A MW might be able to find it earlier but don't stress:)
