Should I have the flu & whooping cough jabs if I'm ill?

I have my flu & whooping cough jabs booked for this afternoon. I'm full of a really bad cold - I have a barking cough, very blocked nose, hot & cold sweats, achey body etc... Is it wise to have the jabs? I've read that you can have them as long as you don't have a temp but I feel a bit unsure about getting them when I feel like this!

Hi,

I have my flu jab booked in for today and I'm feeling ill and being sick. When I called the nurse she said as long as I'm not contagious or have a fever then it's fine to have the flu jab.

I can't comment on the whooping cough as I had mine 2 weeks ago as they don't like doing them at the same time at my doctors.

I'm glad she told you not to, I don't have them done anyhow but with your immune system already being weaker I would definitely avoid it until you're feeling all better ;)
