I do apologise in advance because its a long story but here goes....

Me and OH are saving to move next year april/may time when our contract runs out on our rented place we are living in at the moment, but we are secretly TTC. If I got pregnant this cycle the baby would be due around June 15th so I would be 8 months ish pregnant when moving. That sounds bad enough but it is my birthday 2 days before on the 13th and my DS's on the 9th 6 days before. So as well as moving house there would be 2 birthdays and one birth within a month!!

We could put off moving but there's a chance that the landlord we have will put up the rent next year and I don't see the point paying more for my 2 bed when we could pay similar for a 3 bed that is closer to my family, plus there's not much room for another baby.

There's another hitch... My OH works nights and I O in the week, every 4th thursday. He sleeps most of the day away and when he is up so is my DS so we can't get any baby making in so its really hard for me to get pregnant as we can only BD on a sat or sunday. The only reason I am in with a good chance this month is because OH is off on holiday this week which is the week I O.

With his work he has to take whatever holidays he can get his hands on so its not like I can say to him have the 3rd week in october off because I O that week or anything, its basically live with what he gets!

I know moving with a nearly 2 year old may be a little hard anyway but he would go to my nans or something whilst the moving took place so he'd be ok. But moving heavily pregnant?! I'm guessing it would be easier than moving with a baby! Plus we don't have the space in this house for another baby so we would have to move as soon as possible!

Another thing is that I know money would be tighter if I was pregnant, but we don't really go out now unless its to friends/families houses, play groups and the park so it wouldn't really bother me as such.

So my question really is do you ladies think it will be too much to handle? Or am I just worrying far too much?! I don't want to miss the chance of getting pregnant this cycle because its the only opportunity I have for a long time, and I just need some lovely ladies to basically re-assure me that I'll be fine and give me their honest opinion!!

Hope you reply! Thanks :flow:

I'd say if you really want to ttc, then do it! I was 7 months preg when we moved and has a 2 year old as well. it wasn't to bad i got off easy, no heavy lifting so my dh and fil did most the big stuff. actually both times we moved i was preg, and my husband always jokes when we get preg again we'll probably end up moving some where else!

I can see your concerns but I guess if it happens then it's meant to be!

I wouldnt put off buying/moving the house and I wouldnt put off ttc either.

You dont know how long it could take you to get pregnant......dont put your life on hold assuming you will get pregnant.

Even if your OH works shifts surely you can get 5 mins for a few days in a row to get to it?? Do you not see each other at all during the week?? I know you say he sleeps but if he wants a baby he must be prepared to do it at the right times of the month - have you explained that to him?

I would continue with the house move as planned and continue ttc.

Whatever happens it will all work out!

Good luck!:flower:

If you really want something, you make it work

I don't see a reason to put any of these things off.
