Should I still be trying?

I have a question because I have longer cycles. I went to my FS the other day and they tested my progesterone and told me that it was elevated so that I did ovulate and to expect my AF in a week or 2. I'm wondering if I could still be BDing to try since I did ovulate but haven't gotten my AF yet ... ?

My AF was due on the 4th of this month but it never came. I tested once before the 4th and once after and they were both negative but AF has yet to come .... =\

my last AF was September 4th ... I have about 31 day cycles!

Well i went to the doctor ... on Tuesday and they told me that my progesterone was elevated and that my period would be here in 1 to 2 weeks .. what does the HCG test?

Well the doctor did a blood test for pregnancy ... would have that has included HCG?

HCG is a chemical produced in a womans body when she is pregnant. xx

Ok so I just got off the phone with them and it came back negative
I don't know what's going on. My AF is usually or hasn't been late lately so what's going on?!

I see that you've been trying for about 2 years and some months .. how do you do it ??? So many negative tests .. it's depressing!

I wont lie it's not been easy, I have good days & bad days. I have also cried so much it hurts. I have an ache in my heart that wont go away no matter how many times I try to tell myself to stop trying, I just can't stop. It would hurt me more to stop trying now.

The tuff days are when someone close annouces there BFP. That really hurts me especially if it's there 2nd announcement in the time I've been trying. That happened to me last mth & it felt like my heart had been ripped from my body. It's not that I'm not happy for her, I am, I just wish so much that it was me.

If your ttc your 1st then I would let your GP know cos they will start fertility tests on you both to see if there's any reason why you've not conceived yet. xx

I know how you feel with having other people close to your get a . My cousin who I grew up with just had a baby in May and what was so frustrating about it was that her and her husband weren't even trying! I am happy for her but it is such a time of mixed up emotion for people who wanted the child and were trying and then people who weren't trying get it.

This is our first time trying and we're actually already seeing a FS since we've been trying for 1 year already.
I actually spoke to my doctor today and he told me that he thinks what's happening is that my eggs are actually being release during ovulation. We're going to do more tests once my AF gets here!!!! (That's why I want that so bad) Because once those tests are done I will hopefully be able to go on clomid to get my ovaries to let those eggs go! Haha. I don't think it's anything severe. I'm hoping it's not. I also had a vaginal ultrasound and he said besides me having a lot of follicles after I ovulated he doesn't see anything else wrong. No cysts or fibroids. Hopefully it's just a matter of getting me on the right medicine and dosage!!!

I've been reading a lot of great success stories about clomid and getting pregnant pretty quickly so I'm praying that will be my situation as well!!!!!
