Should I take him to the doctor?

My LO has had a cold for the last week or so and has sounded a bit bunged up. I have tried nasal drops and the Karvol capsules but neither seemed to work very well. He hated the nasal drops.

Today he seems to be worse and also sounds a bit chesty. Like he needs to have a really good cough but when he does cough, he doesnt seem to get anything up. Also when he is crying he sounds a bit hoarse.

Am I overreacting if I take him to the docs? Any advice much appreciated.

yes take him - even if its just to put your mind at ease. He may need some anti biotics if it has gone to his chest. I decided NEVER to sit home worrying and just take them - its what they are there for hun xxxx

Course your not over reacting hun..your a mum!!

If its been a week i would take him to the drs at least they could check him over and put your mind at rest.

Thanks for the replies. You are right of course. Even if it just puts my mind at rest. I will phone in the morning.
