Hi everyone. I'm actually not actively TTC until next month, but OH and I have just been doing withdrawal because we are fine with getting pregnant, just waiting to actively try until optimal timing next month. But lately I've been obsessive every month thinking I *could* still be pregnant, and trying hard not to do that this time!

But now I'm not sure what to do. My cycles alternate long and short - I have always been a bit irregular. I started tracking in December and since then it has been 30, 26, 31, 24, 29, 26, 30. Now this month I'm on day 29, when it should have been a short month! I don't really have any symptoms, though. I haven't been religiously charting but I was fairly certain I ovulated on CD 14. I do have a really bad sinus infection that started a few days ago. I went out for meds today and was reading instructions where it said to be careful taking during pregnancy, so it made me wonder if perhaps I should go get a test. I just really didn't want to waste money buying a test right now when I really doubt I'm pregnant and every time I buy a test I get a little bit hopeful and it's disappointing.

Any tips? Should I just wait it out and assume my period is coming but just a bit wonky? Or would you test to be sure?

Hi!

I have irregular cycles too. But would only class myself 'late' if I had gone past the longest cycle, so in your case 31 days. I say test on cd 31 or 32 if still no sign. No harm in testing now but it's always a pain spending money on a test and then have AF show up!

Good luck!
