Should I test??

This is my first month of TTC, and I'm a wreck!!

I have had irregular AF for most of the year, but got it on August 14, and it seemed back to normal (5 days total, heavy in the middle, what it used to be). Now... I don't know if I O'd, I'm just assuming I did. Had some brown/dark red spotting on Aug 30-Sep 1 (very light, not sure the cause). Now, yesterday had the same spotting, but MUCH LESS of it, like, twice when I wiped.

I'm confused. Anyone know what this brown spotting could be? I've never experienced it before... Do you think I should be testing, or is AF going to show right away.... Anyone experienced anything like this??

id do a test.. im kind of in the same position as you.. just started ttc end of last month. i dont keep track of my periods/ovulation etc. which is a bit daft i guess.. i am goin to start from now on.
i have been doin tests just about every other day, bfn all the time.. luckily they are just cheap ones i got off amazon though so not wasting too much money. x

You could have been experiencing implantation bleeding. When the fertilized egg is burrowing into the lining of your uterus it can sometimes cause spotting. How long are your cycles normally? Is AF late? Do you know when you ovulated? If you are at least 12 dpo I think you could try testing.

Oops, just re-read your post and realized you don't know if/when you ov'd so I would try testing and if its BFN wait and try testing again if AF doesn 't show when she is due.

It's always difficult not thinking too much about symptoms as you then risk imagining some (the power of suggestion is very strong)

I would test and then keep testing once a week until AF either shows or you get a I would def start BBT and OPK for your next cycle though as it is the only way to pin point ovulation. I have only just started doing these and am so annoyed at myself for not doing them sooner!

I agree, now is a perfect time to test. And you should definately get a basil thermometer, and take temps. I just started and am excited to know what my chart says. I am on Fertility Friend. Let us know how that test turns out. Good luck

So I tested last night (as soon as those HPT's were in my hand!!) and got a

Re-tested this morning, and still .....

Spotting has stopped, no yet, so just waiting on that or my .

Going to the clinic Saturday if she doesn't show by then!
