Should I worry?

Hiya

Okay so tummy was feeling achey earlier and for about the past couple of hours been getting tightenings in bump mainly across middle. About an hour ago I had a bit of pain in my lady bits/cervix and when i went the toilet I had some discharge which wasnt off colour and had no blood. I thought I would see if any timing to tightenings and in past half hour had 2 which are there for quite a while and tummy feels sore. It isnt agony though. I have had braxton hicks for a while now but these dont feel like the usual as they tended to be lower and less sore and less of them.

Anyone else experience anything like this?

I noticed a huge increase in braxton hicks around 36-38 weeks, especially in the evening (although that could just be because i noticed them more as wasnt doing as much at night) and they did seem to be more "all over" rather than the underside of bump which is where they seemed to be before. If it is early labour you'll notice things getting progressively more painful and more frequent, unfortunately until that happens it's a "wait and see" game :/
As long as bubs is still moving about I wouldn't worry about it, but if you are worrying phone your MW or hospital (not sure if you have a maternity triage phone number you can call out of hours if you're worried, we do in edinburgh anyway) and see if they will give you a quick checkover x

Thanks yeah I have maternity triage number. I worry about causing a fuss for nothing. Lol. Tmi i felt earlier the discharge passing out. I have just been toilet and no more white or thick discharge but a patch of dampness. Lol. Xx

i know its easier said than done but try not to worry about 'making a fuss', loads of people make a hell of a lot more fuss than you would be making! i seen one wifey in triage waiting room screaming the place down with every contraction, swearing at staff that she was "IN FU****G LABOUR AND ABOOT TAE DROP, THE HEID'S HANGIN OOT MA FANNY" - i was bored, so timed her contractions, around 12 minutes apart :/ (we were waiting for aaaaaaages) so.......with people like that in hospitals.....a concerned mommy-to-be is a welcome distraction! sounds like it was probably just normal discharge, it does seem to increase the closer to birth you get....good luck with everything though x

omg me & u have the same due date so u starting to notice changes makes it all seem so much closer for me too!!!!!!!

Id take a bath and try paracetamol. if it continues after this and becomes unbearable id call the ward.

Hulahoop - I am so paranoid about going into early labor too since I'm a scheduled c-section as well and last time I was induced so I'm totally worried and new to the whole going into labor thing. Definitely freaks me out when I get a feeling or symptom that is 'new'. FX that this is nothing and little Lacey is just bored and playing a game with her mummy
